Latoya is a fully Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Michigan. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Family Life Education and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Spring Arbor University. Latoya also holds a School Counseling License along with a specialization in trauma therapy.
Latoya is a compassionate therapist who promotes holistic healing. She is devoted to supporting her clients as agents of change and healing in their own lives. She employs a non-judgmental, Person-Centered foundation. She also incorporates a range of approaches including Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Solution Focused (SFBT) Trauma-Informed, and Christian Counseling.
Latoya has worked in the field of mental health for 13 years. Because of her work and passions, she has experience working with individuals who suffer from anxiety, grief and loss, suicidal ideation, trauma, abuse, bullying, emotional regulation, behavior management, self-esteem, physical and mental diagnoses, and healthy relationships.
In addition to providing support, guidance and encouragement, Latoya guides clients in self-exploration, self-healing, interpersonal growth, and developing healthier thinking patterns and daily habits.
